a. http://www.mwc09.com is down
b. the site needs to have its database set up and staged using mySQL for PHP4/5.

If anyone is an experienced SQL coder, then I could use their help and giving them administrative privileges on my ftp server, which I am generously donating for this cause, with all the scripts, coding, images, and all the files from mwc 2001 - mwc09.

meh, well I will let Toxyn's latest email to me (which I received only a matter of minutes ago) do most of the talking:

Hey GKG,

Yea, I've been working with Ducky on a website for a friend of his for the past few months. It's a massive project that is close to being finished, but yes, there are things that might make this project cut into the time I wanted to make to do the MWC site this year. When I wrote my last email, I was estimating to be done in time to whip up a site for MWC this year within a few days before the beginning of June. This is just not realistic now. Even with the long hours I've put in this week, I don't want to keep saying I'll be able to have time to help out my friends in the Myth community and then let you all down. I have to keep focusing on work, and take some of the pressure off of myself. With this project for Ducky's friend among other things, coupled with my commitment to help with MWC, I just put too much on my shoulders this month and it's cost me and others.

It wasn't my intention to BS anyone or get people's hopes up only to let them down. I feel really bad about it.

As far as alternatives go, if you have people that want to try and put together an MWC website with the old scripts (they would need to know PHP5 and MySQL pretty well), I can help walk them through it via email and/or aim with setting up the site and running it. I had to do that with TWS2 when par had that clown guy do the website with the MWC scripts. If a copy of the old scripts is needed, I can provide them.

I haven't logged into any type of Myth forum or talked to anyone in the Myth community in a while besides you, ducky, verm and kirk. No idea who that was that posted the web design in the NML forums.

Sorry to waste your time man, I really wanted to help again this year and I tried like hell to make time for it.

Keep in touch about whats going on. I'll be around via email or by AIM (Ox0000000).

I did all that I could, and I was completely transparent with everyone in my updates to the community with regards to what was told to me, and the information available to me at the time.
